Banners Unfurled is a ministry for street preachers and those that want to know about street preaching. At this site you will find current street preaching accounts as well as excerpts from historical documents on the street preaching activities of preachers belonging to the Christian Hall of Fame. You can also view our newsletters, which have articles about our evangelistic activities, street preaching outreaches, as well as doctrinal issues arising from public ministry. You don’t need to be an ordained or licensed preacher to street preach; you only need the desire, some well-memorized verses, and a little helpful knowledge to get started. We believe God wants open-air evangelists, street preachers and personal workers on the public streets of the world and that banners are tools to make your presence seen as well as heard.

We would like to encourage you to read our newsletters. Not only do they record some of our street preaching experiences but also most of the letters includes an account of a street preacher's experience from the past. You will be fired up to stand up above the people (2 Chronicles 24:20) and lift up your voice like a trumpet (Isaiah 58:1) to let this world know that God still cares.

Beale Street Blast 2007

The 2007 Beale Street Blast is over, and we have all the messages that were preached during the Blast available on audio cd or mp3 cd, as well as a compilation of about 200 pictures on a cd. For several years our dear brother David Hance and his family in Rochester, NY have faithfully helped this minstry produce and distribute banners. These banners are now in use all over the world and according to some have made a tremendous difference in their evangelistic efforts. Bro. Hance is now in a major battle with lymphoma. BEALE STREET BLAST

The BEALE STREET BLAST is a teaching event sponsored by Banners Unfurled, Bro. Ken Lansing, New Hope Baptist Church, Bro. Steve Matheson, Millington, TN, Grace Bible Baptist Church, Bro. Jerry Hickson, Halls TN, Bible Baptist Church, Bro. Dennis Black, Bolivar, TN and Bible Baptist Church, Ken McFadden, Searcy, AR.

Our goal is to train and equip Christians who want to learn public evangelism using banners as a tool to draw people’s attention.

The BLAST is a high intensity weekend conference filled with soul stirring singing and preaching, and breakouts with various topics of instruction you can choose from all led by seasoned street preachers that have at least 100 years of experience between them. The highlight of the weekend though is taking what you’ve learned and spending 7-10 hours on the street preaching and witnessing to a crowd of 100,000 at the Beale Street Music Festival.

The entire event is to help you learn how to communicate the gospel boldly, effectively and lovingly in a public setting.
